  17. Isn't there already a VC++/MFC newsgroup? It isn't doing anyone
  18. any good.
  19.
  20. :     Borland/Delphi
  21.
  22. Delphi isn't C++. You'd have to have a comp.lang.c++.vs.delphi.advocacy
  23. group!

  31. Isn't that kinda the whole mission behind Usenet? Opinions?

  33. Anyway, a split would create a whole lot of bogus, low-traffic
  34. newsgroups. You really need 3D naming, since it is almost impossible to
  35. heirarchize these topics. One person's
  36. comp.lang.c++.classlibs.frameworks.owl is someone else's
  37. comp.lang.c++.compilers.borland_c++.windows_specific_programming.owl,
  38. after all.
  39.
  40. Some groups:
  41.
  42. comp.lang.c++.compilers.visual_c++
  43. comp.lang.c++.compilers.visual_c++.c++_implementation
  44. comp.lang.c++.compilers.visual_c++.windows_specific_programming
  45. comp.lang.c++.compilers.visual_c++.windows_specific_programming.mfc
  46. comp.lang.c++.compilers.visual_c++.bugs
  47. comp.lang.c++.compilers.borland_c++
  48. comp.lang.c++.compilers.borland_c++.c++_implementation
  49. comp.lang.c++.compilers.borland_c++.windows_specific_programming
  50. comp.lang.c++.compilers.borland_c++.windows_specific_programming.owl
  51. comp.lang.c++.compilers.borland_c++.bugs
  52. comp.lang.c++.compilers.gnu_g++
  53. comp.lang.c++.compilers.* (Watcom, Symantic, MacIntosh, etc)
  54. comp.lang.c++.vs.delphi.advocacy (for people who like C++ more)
  55. comp.lang.delphi.vs.c++.advocacy (for people who like Delphi more)
